I have always feel that our crown of glory plays a huge part in our outlook. It can either make us look older, more haggard or make us look more youthful and fresh. Thus, it is always important for me to find a good stylist who knows what I want and what is best for me. Located at Plaza Singapura is where KENJO Korean Hair Salon 살롱 is.

Whenever I think of BRAND's chicken essence, it will always remind me of my mother's love. Since young, my mother has been giving me BRAND's chicken essence to drink. Be it during examination period or during times when I feel very tired, mum would always warm up a bottle of chicken essence for me.

Media Release: F&N MAGNOLIA x MyKuali x Mae Ploy

August was indeed an interesting month as Singapore celebrates its Golden Jubilee. With a history of 78 years, Magnolia has played quite a part in many of our growing up lives. I affectionately remembered Magnolia's iconic pyramid-shaped tetramilk packs which were distributed during recess time. To mark Singapore’s Golden Jubilee year, F&N MAGNOLIA launched a nostalgic limited edition F&N MAGNOLIA SG50 packs. Consumers can also collect limited edition F&N MAGNOLIA SG50 Tote Bag when they purchase two packs of 1-litre F&N MAGNOLIA milk of any variant at the F&N MAGNOLIA SG50 Roadshows.

SG50 Commemorative Notes

Singapore Commemorative Notes
SG50 commemorative notes unveiled yesterday at face value at branches of nine major retail banks. Have you gotten yours? The set of commemorative notes includes a S$50 polymer note and five S$10 polymer notes. With the request from mummy love, I braved the long waiting hours and went to join the queue at the bank for the notes at Great World City. As many may have known, everyone will be entitled to a quota of five sets of notes per transaction. But I managed to get 10 sets of notes with folders. Find out how I managed to do it.

Food Review: MAGURO-DONYA MIURA-MISAKI-KOU Sushi & Dining at Suntec City

Finally a “farm-to-table” sashimi restaurant has opened in Singapore. What this mean is minimal logistics wastage, and also significant cost savings translated for us consumers. Eating sashimi is certainly not cheap in Singapore, not to mention the prized Hon-Maguro (bluefish tunas) that are caught around Japanese waters.

Food Review: Spicy Thai Thai Cafe at Aljunied

Call me crazy but my love for food has made me travel for food and I queue for food regardless of how far the distance can be. Few weeks ago, along with Hazel, Wilson, Ian, Pauline and J, we made our way to a media tasting at Spicy Thai Thai Cafe.

Sponsored Review: Glomax Aesthetics - The Face Artistry at Clarke Quay

Many people have asked me about my secret on having a good complexion and looking younger than I truly am (no prizes for guessing my age :p). To be frank, I attributed 60% to the genes as my mother who is in her 60s looks as if she is only 50+. The other 40%, I attributed it to several following factors -
  • Starting my basic daily skincare regime at the age of 17
  • Drinking chinese herbal soups e.g ba zhen soup
  • Regular facial
Most people have basic skincare regime, but I also understand that drinking herbal soup is not everyone's cup of tea. For some who feel that basic skincare regime is good enough, my advice is try going for facial over a period of time and feel the difference. A few weeks ago, I was invited to Glomax Aesthetics for facial experience. I wish to highlight that it is non-obligatory for me to do a review unless I feel that it is worth sharing with my readers. So here is it, the review of the facial.

Bonding Time at Tott

Although Singapore is a small island, we are blessed with a variety of food and activities to do. One of the afternoons, I am blessed to be invited to Tott's newest outlet at Suntec City to have first hand experience of bonding time with J while whipping up a feast. Within 2 hours, under the supervision and guidance of Chef Francois Mermilliod, formerly from renowned French restaurant, Absinthe, we made Ceviche of Red Snapper, Lime and Ponzu, Braised Chicken in Red Wine Sauce, as well as Sable Breton with Lemon Curd and Raspberries!
