Food Review: OSG Bar+ @ Suntec City Tower 1

Suntec City Tower 1
In Singapore, there is no lack of restaurants and bars. However, I am glad that I found this F&B outlet at the newly revamped Suntec City Tower 1. Located on the left side of the taxi stand, what used to be an empty space is where OSG Bar+ stands today. It is a collaboration with STUFF magazine and is the one and only STUFF gadget restaurant and bar in the world. How cool is that? Currently, it is at its infancy stage and I heard the official opening will only be somewhere in early June. But the good news is,  there is a 35% discount off the food menu now for its "beta testing stage".

Cafe Hopping: Ice Cream Shack @ Bukit Merah Central

I have never been to Brighton Beach in Melbourne but it has always been on my bucket list since I first saw the beautiful bathing boxes online. I was thrilled when I saw the deco of Ice Cream Shack on instagram looking very much like the bathing boxes in Melbourne. Thus I made a mental note to visit the place as soon as I can spare the time.

Product Review: Bené Premium Rougeria and Bené Premium Bluria shampoo and treatment range (Sponsored)

As some may know, I used to be a stylist during my younger days and I am quite particular about the shampoos and conditioners that I use. I believe that having a good shampoo and conditioner is very important for the wellness of our crown of glory especially to tame those frizzy ends. Recently I was given 2 sets of shampoo and conditioner from Bené Premium - Bluria and Rougeria range respectively, to do a review. So how do I find them?

Food Review: Royal Noodle (皇帝面) At Circular Road

I first heard of Royal Noodles from Nicholas as he was ranting to me on his twice failed attempts to try the handmade noodles at this place. Thus we decided to meet on a late weekday morning to give this a try.

Beauty Review: Botox and fillers @ Dr Benjamin Yim Aesthetic & LaserCentre Part 3

At one point or another, we will tend to want to look good so as to feel good. Sometimes we make certain decisions for beauty enhancements, which to our dismay didn't work out quite as well as we expected. I am not sure about you...but I had my fair share of beauty "mishaps" (fortunately none has been permanent!). I am glad to know Dr Benjamin Yim, who has helped me to look better without over-the-board drastic measures, nothing too artificial. I like the fact that he and I alike, prefer to go for natural-looking enhancements. As many may have already known, aesthetic enhancements are done to better refine what we are born with and make us look better. But little did I know that a gummy smile could be fixed using botox.

Product Review: Tilley Australia Reed Diffuser and Soy Candle

I am always a person who is attracted to scents and aromatherapy. Don't you love how pleasant smelling your living space is, especially after a long day at work? Thus I am always on the lookout for things to make my room a more sweet smelling one. Recently I am blessed to receive Tilley Peony Rose Diffuser ($65) and Tilley Peony Rose Soy Candle ($55) from Lin's Australia to do just that. =)

Food Review: Hvala Waffle Bar at 313 @ Somerset (Media Invite)

Hvala Waffle Bar at 313 @ Somerset
I was once told that passion could bring me nowhere but whenever I see people pursuing their passion, it warms my heart. Last week I was invited to a media tasting of a new waffle kiosk, Hvala Waffle Bar, located at 313 @ Somerset. It is run by 2 young passionate couple. Instead of the usual round or square waffle that I struggle to finish on my own, Hvala offer waffle sticks which I can easily finish 2.

Cafe Hopping: Plus 39 Gelato @ Circular Road (Media Invite)

Given the sweltering weather in Singapore, I am always on the lookout for delicious cold dessert to ease the heat. When Plus 39 opened its door in March, I dropped by with Ian, Nicholas and J during one of our cafe hopping session. The taste of the gelato left me craving for more. Just before my Sydney trip, I was very blessed to be invited for a media tasting event at Plus 39 to learn more about gelato making.

Food Review: Men-Tei @ Robinson Centre

How often do we fall in love with something and crave a career out of it? Well, I guess it takes a lot of courage and determination to do so. The story behind Men-tei is as such. Around 10 years ago, the founding co-partner of Men-tei, Chef Jason Lim, fell in love with ramen during his trip to Japan . He started a year long journey sampling, discovering and studying various type of ramen in Japan. In 2007, together with a group of like-minded Japanese partners, Men-tei was established. I am always on a quest to find good food and I am blessed to be invited to the media tasting together with a group of like-minded foodies.

Cafe Hopping: Flock @ Ghim Moh

The cafe culture in Singapore has been very vibrant and I was elated to know that a new cafe has opened its door in a quiet neighborhood near my church. Thus when Shirley asked me along for the media tasting along with Sihan and Ian, I agreed.

Food Review: Snack Culture's Around The World in 9 Small Plates Omakase Degustation Menu

CT HUB
In the recent years, the areas near Lavander MRT seem to have gone through a face-lift with more mixed commercial buildings erected and with them more F&B outlets. I am very blessed to join Dr Leslie Tay, Ian, Sihan, Shirley, Nicole, Jimmy and Desmond for a tasting at The Snack Culture Company, located in CT Hub level 2.

Food Review: HamBaoBao at Bukit Timah Beauty World Food Centre

Being Singaporean, one of the most blessed thing is to enjoy good food around the island. In my opinion, there is no direct co-relation between food prices and its quality. One of the example is HamBaoBao at Bukit Timah Beauty World Food Centre. HamBaoBao means hamburger in Mandarin but over here some interesting burgers are served too.

Beauty Review: GO60 Spa at Esplanade Xchange

Just before my Sydney Trip, I was invited to try the facial at GO60 Spa at Esplanade Exchange. GO60 is a lifestyle spa concept boutique under the Mary Chia Holdings. Although I have read several negative reviews on GO60, I was glad that I went. I felt that the facial that I tried, did prepared my skin for the dry harsh weather in Sydney.

Travelogue: Sydney Holiday 2015 - Day 1

I have been to Melbourne and Perth but this is my first trip to Sydney. This has been a wonderful trip with some shopping, a lot of food hunting, cafe hopping and some "holland-ed"(getting lost) experience. I hope that by sharing my experence in Sydney, I can help you my dear readers to plan better and have a more awesome holiday by avoiding some of the mistakes that I have made.  P.S: This is going to be a long and detailed post.
