Beauty review : Nivea In-shower skin conditioner

Recently while catching up with Elaine, she mentioned to me about this wonderful product that can act like a conditioner to your skin just like how conditioner does to our hair. As a very kiasu beauty conscious yet lazy person, I have decided to check it !

Food review: NamNam Noodle Bar @ Suntec City

image
(Photo Credit : NamNam Noodle Bar)
I am sure many people has already tried the Vietnamese noodles from this eatery at one of its branches. However for me, my closest experience was just looking that long snake of queue while I walked pass the outlet at wheelock place and reading about it online. Thus I was rather happy when I passed by it on one late weekday afternoon whereby there is no queue at the Suntec city outlet.

Nam Nam Noodle Bar is a part of les amis group and the outlet at Suntec City is actually their newly opened 3rd outlet.

Bukit Merah Qing Tian Cold & Hot Dessert 青天冷热饮品

image
Located near Redhill MRT, Redhill food centre is easily access via bus or mrt, and if you drive, there is also a nearby carpark. =)
The first time I was at Redhill Food Centre, I was drawn to Qing Tian Cold & Hot Dessert stall by the queue and the Hokkien techno music.

image
Recent years, cafes have been mushroomed in many places in Singapore. One of the more popular in the central area is Everton park. Within a block, you might find more than 2 cafes housed in them. While I was cafe hopping recently, I went to Grin Affair after I had my breakfast at the Provision Shop.

Media Invite: Get STYLED. Be PAMPERED. Get COLOURED frenzy. Make the CUT. with X'pect Group

image
Last week have been a very blessed week for me. Beside having all the little little blessings are pouring from heaven, I have also received a media invite to get my glory of crown pampered at X'pect Studio. To be frank, as an ex hair stylist, I am rather apprehensive and fussy on how my hair is being treated.

Joo chiat food trail part 1 : Kway Guan Huat Popiah & Sha Zah Confectionery

Some Saturdays ago, together with S, we went for a food trail in Joo Chiat. As a westies, I know the east side is filled with delicious food but what I dunno is Joo Chiat on its own is already a food paradise! Beside checking out Xu Jun Sheng (Long ji), Kway Guan Huat (Joo Chiat Popiah & Kueh Pie Tee), Sha Zah Confectionery, Nam San Otah, Lau Hong Ser Rojak, Jia Hui BBQ, Kim Choo kueh chang and Chin Mei Chin confectionery, I have also tried a Vietnamese eatery. Just in case, you think we are 2 gluttony big eaters, we did the food trail in the spread of 2 days lah by checking into Venue hotel (which I will do a review on it soon too).

As for now, I would just like to review on 2 of those that you can chop chop take away without much waiting time starting from the one nearest to the Paya Lebar MRT station ( about 10 mins walk)

Skechers Grand Opening @ Bugis

8th November must be a great day for Opening. Besides Robinsons having a soft opening at the newly revamped Heere, Bugis has also opened its door to the shoppers on its newly renovated level 2 & 3. The revamped wing, part of where BHG used to be, is now more vibrant and interesting with the infusion of a new eatery and many other retail shops. On top of that, there are also seating area on level 3 for the shoppers to rest their feets. How sweet is that, right? On the 8th November, the spotlights were all placed on Skechers Grand Opening. There were so many people there, both the media and public, children and adults!

Located at ION Orchard level four, Paradise Dynasty is very highly accessible with the MRT exit at level one and several bus stops in the nearby vicinity. On top of that, there are about 650 parking lots (Source from Wikipedia ) available in the mall for the shoppers who drive.

Food review : Magnum Singapore Pleasure Store @ Vivo City

image

I think most Singaporeans know about the ice cream, Magnum, which can be bought at most supermarkets, 7-11 or even petrol kiosks at about $3~$4. But do you know that there is a pop up store, Magnum Pleasure Store located just outside Vivo City ? Best of all, you get to design your own magnum.

Food review: Rocky Master @ Bugis

image
Located near Drama Centre aka National Library Building, Rocky master is easily access via public transport with bus stop just at the doorstep of the eatery and within minutes walk from Bugis MRT. The renovation here adopted simple cosy cafe concept with some outdoor seatings. Personally I find this place very comfortable to chill especially if you are lucky enough to get a sofa seat.  However do note that there are no power outlets or wifi available here.

Food Review on Ice Cream Frenzy @ Bukit Timah Food Centre

image
Some weeks ago, I was food hunting around bukit timah area and I stumbled upon this ice cream stall at Bukit Timah Food Centre. This is the first time I have came across an ice cream stall in hawker centre and I find it rather interesting thus decided to give it a try. Beside having very adorable animated stall facade, there is about a big brown bear as the mascot for the stall. Cute max!

Food Review : Fullhouse Signature @ Clarke Quay

image
For a lot of cafe hoppers, I am sure you have some impression of this very beautiful theme cafe at Hotel Rendezvous named Fullhouse cafe. However the cafe has ceased the business due to some management issue earlier this year. I don't know about you but I was very disappointed when it did as I really love the princessy brightly lit cafe. Good news for me that it has made a coming back at Clarke Quay. Best of all, last Wednesday (3/11/2013), I was very blessed to be invited to Fullhouse Signature for a food tasting party organsied by Mapwerkz together wit 24 other bloggers.

Review on LollyTalk ~ Home brand customised rock candies

image
I can safely say that it's every kids dream to own a candy shop. This is how the birth of LollyTalk came about. 2 kids (Keow Yuen and Joy) grown up with a dream to own a candy shop and not any candy shop, they dream to own one that is a home brand with customised candies that Singaporeans can feel proud of. Thus the duo travelled down to Australia, Queensland, to learn from the best of the Aussie candy makers(Ross and Judy) in 2010.

Food review on The Provision Shop at Everton Park

After reading a new cafe named The Provision Shop opened at Everton Park, I have decided to explore the place today. Being one of the oldest HDB in Singapore, Everton park is easily access via public transport [Exit from Outram Park MRT (NE3) exit G, or just take a bus and stop at bus stop B05521/ B05519/ B10021 and it's within 5 mins walk]. If you drive, it's also accessable via CTE & AYE and you can park at the multicarpark at blk 6A. By the way, the cafe is located at the end of the block with some cute tiny colourful chairs on the outside.
